A native of Naples, Florida and a resident of southern California, Theresa Shlimanoff is in tune with beauty, leisure, and luxury. Trained in fashion design, Theresa stumbled into wedding coordination after discovering it could be much more than a hobby. Prior to Hustle & Bustle, Theresa gained ten years of experience in the fashion and entertainment industry styling celebrities, producing fashion shows, and costume designing, which earned her a sharp eye for detail, a knack for fashion forecasting, and an appreciation for colors, fabrics, textures, and silhouettes. Theresa was the head assistant for an L.A. based, high end, dress designer when she realized she was spending more time designing weddings for friends, and friends of friends, than designing garments (and enjoying it much more!). As Theresa says, “Coordinating someone’s magical, once- in-a-lifetime, day is so much more meaningful and gratifying than picking out next season's skirt length.” Her appreciation and knowledge of fashion and costuming has helped Hustle & Bustle’s success tremendously. Theresa looks at the bride and groom as if they are the stars and she is backstage overseeing everything from a different perspective than the guests or "audience". Although, a successful wedding demands much more than an appealing “look”, that is where Theresa’s energetic spirit and superior multitasking skills reveal her true capabilities. Her sense of humor and devotion spells out relief for brides. For Theresa, creating Hustle & Bustle has been a dream come true. She has the blessing to combine all her gifts and passions. She absolutely looks forward to enjoying many more years of wedding planning and continues to turn today’s dreams into tomorrow’s memories.
