3 mistakes not to commit when organizing your wedding

Managing budget and stress from the first to the last day of preparations, especially in the last month, becomes challenging, almost like a real job – and here it is in fact why this profession was born.

What are the most common mistakes, the ones to avoid?

It would be better if you think about it as your big day will be one that you will never be able to repeat again.

1. Wrong choices

Among the various choices to be made and decisions to be made, something could be missed or you could blindly trust some professional who in reality could prove to be “wrong” for you. Not so much because he isn’t as good as he seems, but because maybe he doesn’t really reflect your request, because you haven’t thought about it or because maybe you don’t even really know what you are looking for yet. It could become difficult to “manage” in progress, too expensive compared to the initial forecast or you could regret it too late, only after seeing its performance.

2. Unlimited budget

To me, if you are not a billionaire, your budget should be estimated in a very specific figure. Not having it in focus will make you spend a lot more than you should. But how much is it right to allocate to the wedding? Perhaps, alone, you might think you can do everything with a figure that will then prove to be too low or the other way around. Your predictions, on paper, may be optimistic, but not realistic. If you want to know more read this post.

3. Forgetfulness

It always happens: the month before the wedding is a real delusion. Everything is concentrated in those few days and if maybe there is an August in the middle (and the shops therefore close for holidays in the meantime) everything is even more difficult.

The last month of preparations seems to get out of hand, one has the impression of having to do a lot of things but always forgetting a few. Parents too live in a bubble of perennial anxiety. For months now we sleep little, badly and have nightmares on the day of the event. My advice is undoubtedly to put down a good list. But be careful not to write too many useless things: you could risk considering it useless or getting bored keeping it updated.
